_Courage means to keep working on a relationship, to continue seeking solutions to difficult
problems, and to stay focused during stressful periods. ~Denis Waitley

Addiction Counseling and Life Skills, encircled in Christian faith, are the attributes that Crystal brings as a Facilitator of Equine Experiential Learning. A traditional education, first put Crystal in the direction of supporting the afflicted. Though it wasn’t until life took her down a road she had not intended to embark, that the true journey began.
The sting of a broken marriage and family pressed Crystal to explore forgiveness and fear, in a way she had never experienced before. Consumed by feelings of failure, resentment, self-righteousness, hurt and anger, Crystal began pursuing a deeper relationship with God. Through this relationship, Crystal began to examine and dissect her own heart.
As the weight of life increased, Crystal’s soul desperately cried out to feel free, balanced and connected. Revelation about how much her God loved her, guided Crystal to forgive herself and discover her new truth. Knowing the freedom in complete forgiveness and what God now held for her, Crystal sought to experience this in other aspects of her life.
Crystal’s new passion first took her to Mercy House. Mercy House, a transitional home for women and children, was where Crystal became a mentor and support for the women residing there. It was during this time of connection that Crystal longed to be reunited with the horses, she once so loved in her youth.
Crystal established Horses Refining Hearts, to inspire, encourage and give hope to all people. The beautiful encounters with the horses challenge women and families to be authentic, explore forgiveness, reconnect and enhance communication, while making room for emotional and spiritual healing.
